Чемпионат Европы по футболу "Евро-2012"

The tournament will be attended by 16 teams. Ukraine and Poland will automatically qualify as hosts. The remaining 14 teams will be determined through qualifying matches which start in September 2010. His drawing was held Feb. 7, 2010 in Warsaw.

In the qualifying tournament, all teams are divided into 9 groups: 6 groups of 6 teams and 3 groups of 5 teams. The nine group winners and one of the best team of those who will take second place went to Euro 2012. The other 8 teams, runners in their groups, will compete for four trips to Poland and Ukraine in the play-offs.

To draw 51 team was divided into six baskets. In the baskets from the first through fifth are nine teams, in the sixth basket - six teams. This ranking is based on the performance of teams in the qualifying and final tournament 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008, as well as in the qualifying tournament World Cup 2010.
